Whoever it is that posted this article had a lot of guts. Seriously, they probally have only watched this season. If you really knew about Gilmore Girls, you would realize that there's much more to it then you would think. Rent the DVD's watch them and realize that it's not over for the girls. They'll make a good comeback. They always do. SO before you say stuff like this... THINK-- posted by OntheXedge17

To the point of obsession. Which is why I am so disapointed in the way this season has been going. It seems to me that since the Palladino's want to leave, it's time to end the show. I think they've run out of stories to tell.

I feel that Loralei sleeping with Chris was TOTALLY out of character. I hate what they've done but will stick with it. I love the show and think it will end after this year..

I wish Amy Sherman-Palladino hadn't left. This new guy doesn't know what he's doing.

According to Dawn Ostroff, Pres of Entertainment at CW, Dave Rosenthal had to write his way out of the corner that Amy had painted him in. (Do you think she did that on purpose?) and that the second half of the season will be much stronger.
Also, my sources tell me that the entire cast, crew, and execs are relieved that ASP is gone. When "difficult" is a euphemism, you know you're in trouble.

I stopped watching when Chris and Loralei got married but DVRed it last week. This is after a few weeks of not watching which is HUGE for me since I'm such a big fan...
I'm a bit hopeful after last week's episode...

Wow, it's good to see somebody else write exactly what I'm thinking. I've been a hardcore GG fan since 2002, own 6 seasons on DVD, total addict! It actually seems to me like the actors are nor into it anymore! Lauren seems to be barely going through the motions, I can hardly watch, it breaks my heart! And yes about the Lorelai/Luke lack of chemistry thing- they had tons before they ever got together. I know it's hard for any 'shut up & kiss her' couple to keep people interested after the sexual tension eases, but man, they just fizzled. I'm so sad I've been watching American Idol on Tuesdays, but I did watch this past Tuesday. And does anyone else think Rory is not at all the character she was a few years ago? I know she's matured and all that, but she's become miss drive and determination ad nauseum!
(Speaking of which, I'll shut up now...:)

Last year, friend of mine pined for Chris and Lorelei to get together, and I have to admit that it seemed like an interesting idea. Luke and Lorelei are so awkward.
But now... Chris is coming across as so weak. We needn't worry though; it's a safe bet that Luke and Lorelei will end up back together by April.

You may get your wish for a Gilmore movie. At the TCA pres conferences this week, Amy Sherman Palladino said she'd be open to it. I think the hard part would be to get Alexis Bledel to commit though. She's ready to move on from Gilmore. There was also a lot of strife on that set.
I have to disagree with you about Rory's new friends in the last season. I found them annoying, pointless, and a sure sign that the show had jumped the shark. (Although the shark jumping actually began with Luke's long lost daughter.)
