List of Cancelled Television Shows

The networks cancel primetime series spring 2007

A handful of shows have been cancelled. Are more to come?

Networks are cancelling underperforming shows to make way for the pilots they've ordered. Some shows ( Big Day, Happy Hour) more than deserve their cancelled status. For others (Knights of Prosperity, Six Degrees), it's a shame they never found an audience. The following is a list of shows cancelled thus far.

3 Lbs (CBS): Mark Feuerstein, King of the Showkillers.

7th Heaven (The CW): Yes, again.

Big Day (ABC): So bad it should have been cancelled after 15 minutes.

The Black Donnelly’s (ABC): Technically on hiatus, but come on, it just started. It wouldn’t be on hiatus if it was doing well.

Daybreak (ABC): Proof that horrible promos can kill a show before it even starts. With this show and Kevin Hill, Taye Diggs is heading to Showkiller status. Let's hope he doesn't bring down the Grey's Anatomy spin off. (Co-starring future Showkiller Tim Daly [Eyes, The Nine] Uh oh.)

Happy Hour (FOX): Quite possibly one of the worst comedies of all time.

Help Me Help You (ABC): Or, not.

Justice (FOX): Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Kidnapped (NBC): The better of the two kidnapping series', and yet still not good enough.

The Knights of Prosperity (ABC): A shame this show didn't find an audience. Donal Logue and company were a force to be reckoned with.

The OC (FOX) Rest in peace Cohens and friends. But you overstayed your welcome.

Reba (The CW): A cute show that had a nice run.

Runaway (The CW): Proof that Donnie Wahlberg is no Marky Mark.

Smith (CBS): An over-cast show with no one to root for. Or, too many people to root for. Take your pick.

Vanished (FOX): And it did.

Wedding Bells (Fox) The David E. Kelley drama about three wedding planner sisters has no remaining episodes announced, so we'll call it cancelled.

Six Degrees ( ABC) The network returned it for mid season and then yanked it almost immediately. Boooo.

Andy Barker, PI (NBC): The show has been taken off its Thursday night 9:30p beat and moved to Saturdays where it will burn off its final episodes. Poor Andy Richter can’t catch a break.

Not cancelled yet

Veronica Mars (The CW) Kristen Bell said that the final episode of the season would take place five years in the future. Thus, if it’s the series finale we will see what happened to the characters, and if it’s just a season finale, it will be the set up to a new version of the show.

Gilmore Girls (The CW) Word is that Lauren Graham will return next year for short season - 13 episodes - but that Alexis Bledel will not.

I'd really like to help, but TV is really my speciality. You might want to ask one of the Suite101 film writers.

But let's see...it came out earlier this year or sometime last year? Do you have any idea who was in it?
