» Kwoody3939 - Why all the season-enders with hospital shootups?

In response to Why all the season-enders with hospital shootups? posted by SarahBHood:

I was wondering that too actually. I suppose there is only so much one can do in a static location like a hospital, but still. Also, I swear ER has had a shoot 'em before haven't they? As to "our Doc is in the hospital" you forgot to add Burke to that list! At least I assume he'll be admitted after being shot last night.

The show is set in a hospital, so people have to be in the hospital, is the way I see it. And if that person is one of our series regulars than the stakes go waaaaaay up, and we like big stakes in TV.

Here's a question for you: why all the school shootings in high school shows - One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars, those kids on The OC better duck for cover. (Or is that how Marissa dies? Hmm.....)
