Finally a chance to put all my worthless knowledge to good use.
I'm auditioning for VH1/Entertainment Weekly's World Series of Pop Culture this weekend. My team, No Whammies, got our chance last minute. We were a little late - okay, a week - getting our entry materials in, and we missed the original deadline. But filling out all that paperwork is time consuming! Because I want to appear funny and knowledgable and TV-worthy, right? And then I had to find a picture that doesn't make me look like a fat, pathetic couch potato. (So I couldn't use the one that I use for my column...) A lot of work, I tell you.
But we got the notice today that on Saturday we're to go to the specified location and fill out a pop culture quiz. And if we pass that, we're going back on Sunday from 9am-5pm. I'm a little nevous! What if I'm the weak link on my team? Ohmygod, I'm going to be the link on my team.
