Summer is for comedies

Time to catch up with my comedy watching

Now that my favorite shows have ended (except Everwood my last reason to get up on Monday mornings) what's a girl to do all summer?

(HEY - you in the back. I heard that. And I don't want a life, thank you very much.)

So, last night I watched How I Met Your Mother for probably the third time ever. All year it conflicted with Prison Break and a girl's gotta have her prioroties. But Mother is actually really funny. I forgot just how funny. It was the one where the gang hires a limo and tried to have the best New Years Eve Ever, and I actually laughed out loud in parts. That's saying something. I only have two gripes about this show: Colbie whatever, who plays the love interest is fine. Pretty, likeable... but has Sarah Lancaster Syndrome. Meaning that she just isn't worth all the angst. Second is Doogie. Neil Patrick Harris is by far the best thing about this show, BUT... he's seems to be in a totally different show than the rest of the cast. A better, funnier show.

Nevertheless, a show worth watching. And since I can't imagine what else I'll be watching this summer (NCIS reruns? Finally figure out what the fuss is about with 24?) I think comedy will hold a high position.
