"Lipstick Jungle" lasted two seasons while "My Own Worst Enemy" was only around for nine episodes.
Lipstick Jungle, based on the book by Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell, has been canceled after two seasons. The show, starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price, was about three high-powered New York women experiencing the ups and downs of life on top. Lipstick Jungle Brooke Shields made her comeback as Wendy Healy, a movie executive trying to balance career and family in the big city of New York. Shields had faded from the spotlight in recent years, only surfacing with her struggle of post-partum depression and a now-famous feud with Tom Cruise. The role of Wendy thrust her back into the mainstream spotlight and she landed a role as a spokesperson for Volkswagen. Alongside Shields was Lindsay Price playing the role of kooky fashion designer Victory Ford. Before Lipstick Jungle, Price was a co-star on many blink-and-you-missed-it prime time shows. She had a part in the short-lived WB show Pepper Dennis and the American version of Coupling on NBC. She is perhaps best known for her role as the wife of Steve Sanders in the original version of Beverly Hills, 90210. Rounding out the trio was Kim Raver who played Nico Reilly, editor-and-chief of a hot New York magazine. She has been in a handful of movies and television shows but most fans remember her for her role in 24 as Audrey Raines. According to Neilson ratings, Lipstick Jungle only grossed 5.2 million viewers per week. The network moved the show from prime time Wednesday nights to the Friday 10PM EST time slot. Eventually it was panned by NBC and the network won’t be ordering any new episodes. They will air the five unseen episodes. My Own Worst Enemy Christian Slater makes his comeback as a split-personality super spy. Edward Albright is the spy who speaks 13 languages and can kill with his teeth. Henry Spivey is a family man with a house in the suburbs, two kids and a wife. The thing they have in common: they’re the same person. Edward, the spy, took part in an experiment several years earlier to create a split-personality and is aware of Henry. Henry on the other hand was never aware of Edward until he received an email from him warning him his life was in danger. Slater, whose heyday was the late ‘80s and ‘90s, hasn’t really been heard from since. He had a role in the box-office-bomb Bobby and other small roles here and there but he was back in mainstream media with My Own Worst Enemy. My Own Worst Enemy premiered October 13, 2008 on NBC. Due to a low number of viewers, the show became it's own worst enemy and lasted nine episodes.
