Army Wives knows how to keep their viewers anxious for the next season. They are masterpieces at dramatic cliffhangers, and this third time is no exception.

In the season finale of Army Wives, airing October 2009, there is plenty of drama with all of the characters.

The Characters All Face Dilemmas

First, the Holdens (Brian McNamara, Kim Delaney, and Katelyn Pippy) are facing a possible base closure at the same time General Michael Holden is receiving his second star. This gives them mixed feelings, however they know things will work out, and all three of the Holdens are excited about Michael’s promotion.

Second, Roland (Sterling K. Brown) discovers something disturbing about his partner. Plus he also has his hands full with Sarah Elizabeth while Joan (Wendy Davis) is in the midst of a dangerous mission in the Middle East.

Third, Roxy and Trevor (Sally Pressman and Drew Fuller) discuss their dwindling finances while the Hump Bar is losing business and the kids require more money. And, Roxy has another issue on her mind that will affect their financial predicament. Her partner at the bar is leaving to pursue a singing career.

Fourth, Pamela and Chase (Brigid Brannagh and Jeremy Davidson) have more marital problems when Chase spends more time with his Delta teammates than with the family. This leads Pamela to give him an ultimatum.

Fifth, Jeremy Sherwood (Richard Bryant) is still depressed about the death of his friend in Iraq. His depression leads him to take violent actions which could derail his chance of becoming an officer. His parents, Frank and Denise (Terry Serpico and Catherine Bell) are concerned about their son's emotional health.

Jeremy is happy when he discovers Lucky made it back to the States safely, but is let down when he learns the LeBlancs have adopted the dog. While Jeremy is happy for the LeBlancs and knows Lucky has a good home, he is disappointed that he cannot keep the little dog who saved his life in Iraq. Emmalin Holden tries to comfort him, but Jeremy is resistant.

Sixth, a former foe of the wives returns to Fort Marshall. What she has in store for the group remains to be seen. That is something that will play out in season four.

Conflict, Love, War and Families Make up the Storylines

So, with marriages, lives and the base in jeopardy, financial situations causing problems, and one very disturbed young soldier, there is more than one big suspenseful situation to end this season.

As always, Army Wives is filled with drama and some comedy. And the characters have been adored by the fans for three seasons. There are several secrets in this season finale, which won’t be revealed here. For those, viewers will have to tune in to Lifetime on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 10 PM ET/PT. They will definitely get a great episode and plenty to think about during the hiatus while pondering what is to come next in season four.

You mentioned nothing about Denise and Frank Sherwood. Ummm, Denise is my favorite and she was totally left out. What gives?
