Jack Bauer is back for 24's season 6.

Kiefer Sutherland is back as Jack Bauer in the 6th season of 24. And nothing's changed.

Hope you like your eggs scrambled and irradiated, Los Angeles, ‘cus 24’s done it to you again.

The first four hours of the government-mandated Fox hit feature impressively scarred uber-patriot Jack Bauer once again finding shit worse than he left it (Eric Balfour’s back, for starters [Ed: Noooooo!!!] ) and terrorist no-goodniks up to their usual shenanigans. It’s a seemingly formidable operation, too, until you realize they’ve entrusted the most vital aspect of their operation to Kumar. Still, Kal Penn comes through in the clutch, helping the bad guys pull of their most successful urban nuclear strike since The Sum of All Fears against L.A. and its evil, blue-state population of terrorist sympathizers. So far, it’s nothing fans of the series haven’t seen before (more torture, more cell phones, and a subway sequence copped straight from the third Die Hard) and the plot is even more preposterous than usual, but it’s still fun watching Chloe do her sulky/sexy thing at CTU while Jack manages to explode just about everything he touches. So stay tuned fans, and be sure to look for the deleted scene at the end where Jack calls the residents of Jericho “a bunch of pussies.”
